A bespoke interiors practice drawing from the depth of Indian craft tradition — creating spaces of quiet authority for a discerning few.
The Practice
"The finest spaces are not designed — they are remembered. Woven from the textures, rhythms, and stories of our heritage."
Atelier Mayne is a boutique interior design practice founded by Anjali Mayne — architect, interior designer, and student of Indian spatial tradition. Guided by the rich vocabulary of heritage craft — hand-carved lattice, inlaid stone, the geometry of classical Indian architecture, the warmth of vernacular homes — each commission is an exercise in considered restraint and deep cultural intention.
We work with a carefully selected few clients each year. Not by exclusion, but by conviction: that exceptional work demands singular focus.
The World We Draw From
Every space we conceive begins long before a brief — in the memory of a carved doorway, the weight of a handwoven textile, the silence of a courtyard at noon.
What We Offer
Complete interior design for private residences — from spatial planning and bespoke furniture design to curated artefact and textile sourcing. Every element is considered in relation to the whole, and to the life lived within it.
EnquireStructural and architectural guidance ensuring interiors and architecture speak in one language. Particularly critical when working with heritage properties, restored havelis, and spaces where traditional craft vocabularies must be honoured.
EnquireDeep access to India's finest artisans, karigars, and craft communities. From hand-woven textiles and hand-laid terrazzo to carved teak and hand-blown glass — we source materials with provenance, purpose, and a living story.
Enquire"The most beautiful space is not the one that impresses at first glance — it is the one that deepens with every return."
— Anjali Mayne, Founder & Principal Designer
How We Work
We begin with unhurried conversation. Understanding your way of living, your sensibility, your relationship with material and memory — before a single line is drawn.
A design concept rooted in place, culture, and client. We draw from Indian spatial philosophy — vastu, sacred geometry, craft lineage — and translate it into a vision that is wholly contemporary.
Every surface, joint, and material is specified with care. We work closely with master karigars and traditional workshops across India, ensuring the design language lives in the making as much as the drawing.
A home returned to you — complete, considered, and alive with the craft and cultural depth that defines every Atelier Mayne commission. Not a handover. A beginning.
Client Voices
We measure success not by the beauty of the space alone, but by how it is lived in — season after season, year after year.
Anjali brought a depth of cultural understanding to our home that we hadn't thought possible. Every corner tells a story — of craft, of memory, of India. We did not receive an interior. We received an heirloom.
Our apartment needed to feel like a refuge — calm, considered, and entirely our own. Anjali understood that instinctively. What she delivered was not just a beautifully designed space, but a home that genuinely reflects who we are. The result is quiet, precise, and deeply personal.
Working with Anjali is an exercise in trust and patience — both of which she rewards beyond expectation. Our penthouse is serene, considered, and unmistakably Indian without being obvious about it. Exactly what we asked for.
